I'm a little late on posting this but
Mike Wohlberg and I collaborated on this poster for Young Widows at KFN. The show was last Sunday so I'll have to get around to putting some of these up in the online store. Mike and I used to collaborate on posters frequently so it was great to be working together again. Rather than drawing our respective pieces and mashing them together this one kind of evolved starting with my drawing/collage of the body and arms and then it was built up and torn down from there being passed back and forth about five or six times. Overall I think our styles merged pretty well on this one. You can check out some of our past work

This looks like an illustration for an occult or esoteric text as well. A new form rises out of the old one after an alchemical transformation. In fact it syncs up with a discussion I just had in an internet forum about Kubrick's 2001, specifically the last scene where Dave the Astronaut becomes the "starchild".
